Tohatsu Corp. is conducting the service campaign described below.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE CAMPAIGN
This campaign is related to the air injectors in certain above mentioned models.
It has come to our atttention that certain air injectors may malfunction in these models. This campaign will replace the air injectors on models within the serial numbers listed below.

RECOMMENDED ACTION
To prevent running issues or possible engine damage, Tohatsu has redesigned the air injectors.
If your motor is one of the affected models(see above), we strongly urge you to contact your nearest Authorized Tohatsu Dealer as soon as possible to schedule an appointment for replacement of your air injectors.
You should discontinue use of your outboard until the injectors have been replaced. When contacting your Authorized Dealer, mention this service campaign web information and present to the dealer when you take your engine in for service.
The replacement work will be performed FREE OF CHARGE to you. In addition, as part of the replacement work, all new air injectors will be installed on your motor at NO CHARGE.
If you no longer own this engine, please contact your distributor or dealer's office and inform them that you no longer own this engine.
REMINDER
Only TLDI 70hp & 90hp "B" series models (MD70B and MD90B) within the serial number ranges listed on this page are affected.
If the serial # of your "B" series model is not within the ranges listed,your motor is not affected by this recall.
If you own a TLDI 70/90 "A" series model (MD70A, MD70A2, MD90A, or MD90A2 models), your motor is NOT affected by this recall.

DESCRIPTION OF RECALL CAMPAIGN
This recall is related to the high pressure fuel filter in certain 70hp & 90hp TLDI models.
It has come to our attention that on certain "B" series models (MD70B & MD90B models), there is a possibility that one of the bolts in the upper cowl may come in contact with the
high pressure fuel filter located just below it.
There is a possibility that the bolt could rub a hole in the high pressure fuel filter and cause fuel to leak from the filter, creating a hazardous situation.

RECOMMENDED ACTION
To prevent damage to the high pressure fuel filter, Tohatsu has redesigned the fuel filter mounting bracket.
If your motor is one of the affected models (see above), we strongly urge you to contact your nearest Authorized Tohatsu Dealer as soon as possible to schedule an appointment for replacement of your mounting bracket.
You should discontinue use of your outboard until the problem has been corrected.
When contacting your Authorized Tohatsu Dealer, mention Service Bulletin 08-013 and present this notice to the dealer when you take your engine in for service.
The replacement work will be performed FREE OF CHARGE to you. In addition, as part of the replacement work, a new fuel filter will be installed on your motor at NO CHARGE.
If you no longer own this engine, please contact your distributor or dealer's office and inform them that you no longer own this engine.
